A POST WITHOUT PICTURES IS LIKE A DAY WITHOUT SUNSHINE

I thought I would try this. I usually make posts of pictures with just a few comments added. This time my plan is to be verbal, then post pictures later about recent events.

I opened a Twitter account. So now I'm a Twitter-er, Tweeker, Twit???? whatever. The thing is, that other than a few family members, I haven't found anyone to follow. I need some interests! I run 2 miles every morning. You would think I could find someone like me out there.

My Dad had his 87th birthday the other day. At his age he is becoming the primary caregiver for my Mom who will soon be 90. Bless his heart, his plate is full.

Subway has decided that I look like I need a senior discount. I hadn't realized that I had turned the corner.

I have been posting pictures on KARK's webside. Weatherman Harry Bounds actually used two of them on his broadcast. Isn't that special. One was a picture of an Indigo Bunting. Off hand I can't remember what the other was. Now I've got to go to their website to satisfy my curiousity.

I guess I'm done for now. Pictures to come later.

WHO KNEW JUNE WOULD BE SO BUSY!!!!!!

Grandson Marty made the All Star baseball team. We were very proud of him. He got a double while at bat. He is also a pretty good second baseman.
Here is my Dad and me on Father's Day. He is growing 27 tomatoe plants in his garden this year. And that's all.

Here is Sweetie enjoying Father's Day with two of his children. Our children are a blessing.

Martman had a birthday in June. Big 10 year old! He is not one to eat sweets, but since it was his birthday, he did eat a piece of his cake.

Jason had a birthday in June, too. He is now 35. I don't know how. I can't be old enough to have a child that old! I baked him an apple pie. Hopefully, he got some of it before his boxers did.

June was hot. So all the "Grands" came over to play on the slip 'n slide. They seemed to really enjoy.

Em decided she wanted to grow flowers at her house. I picked her up and we made a trip to WalMart and Lowes to pick out some shade loving flowers and some extra garden soil to help them along. She did the work and I supervised. (So did Gabby and Grace)

Sweetie rode in the Tour de Valley. He's a "Roadie" ya know.

Just an overview of things that went on in June. One of the reasons I take so many pictures is so I will have reminders of all the things that take place.
