ANNIVERSARY TRIP TO MOUNT MAGAZINE

This is at the top of Signal Hill, the highest point in Arkansas. This was our "after-supper walk". Though it was still hot, the hike wasn't too bad. The trail was just behind the lodge.
We hiked by some cliffs. This one was my "Arkansas Grand Canyon".

Here is a picture of the lodge from where the deer were standing. It looks further away than what is was. Our balcony has a arrow pointing at it on the left.
(Second floor on the left)The big room on the right is the swimming pool. There is another "room" just like it on the other end of the lodge that houses the restaurant. Our restaurant experience was not good. I don't know what their problem was, but we were seated by the hostess - and we sat. No one showed up sto wait on us, so we left and had a good supper at Shirley's Outback.
Of course no trip is complete without locating a grave.
This one contains the ashes of the engineer responsible for locating the highway from Havana to Mount Magazine.
