FAMILY GATHERING

I had a really enjoyable time this week visiting with family that we don't get to see very often. Aunt Ruth and Patty from Illinois, Lynn and Jean from Texas, Jack and Ida at Havana, and of course Mom and Dad. I got to hear stories and memories that I can post at Family Tree Musings.

NIGHT RIDER

I took this picture of Sweetie just as he had loaded his 4-wheeler into the back of his pickup. We had been to hang his tree stand about 30 feet up in a pine tree. Surely the deer won't look up that high to find him. We also put his trail camera up nearby. Hopefully good things will happen at this location. We do confess every morning that everything we set our hands to do is blessed and prospered.

AUTUMN MUSINGS - Time Change, Fish, Halloween & Deer Hunting

Well, we got to set our clocks back, but it is still too dark to get out early for my morning walk. I pretty much stopped, when a strange car circled the block on me. That would have changed my schedule anyway if it had happened in daylight.

Cleotis has been moved inside to the aquarium. Sweetie donned his chest waders and got into the pond to catch him. I wish my camera had been handy. Of course, this week the temperatures have climbed back up and Cleotis would still be fine outside. But, it was only a matter of time.

Sweetie's deer hunting is just not going well so far this year. Last year's trip to Illinois was a bust, so he decided to hunt close to home this year. Well, so far there has been little activity on Ola Mountain.

Trick or Treaters came and went. Several little goblins made it to our door in spite of the rainy weather. Of course, all I cared about was my 5 little darlins showing up on Grandma's doorstep.
