Just a Thought or Two
I haven't written anything here is a long time, so I'll only share a couple of things. Too much has happened to tell all.
The rabbits are no longer with us. I was awakened about 3:30 A.M. to the sound of a dog barking. It was right after Christmas, and I though someone's Christmas puppy was lost. Upon investigation, I saw two dogs at the rabbit pen. One was a labrador and the other a smaller dog. Running outj in my pajamas to chase the dogs away, I found that the brown, flop-eared rabbit was dead, and the smaller dog was in the pen. I got that dog out of the pen and then proceeded to chase both dogs out of the yard. That was not an easy task, as they basicallyh were friendly dogs. I really didn't want to be friends with them, though. The next day we found the white, pink-eyed rabbit had also died. We learned that rabbits can die as the result of trauma. We believe that fear and the cold weather did him in.
We had a good Christmas. All of the family was able to be together during the holidays.
One of my favorite presents was an IRobot Roomba vacuum cleaner. As they say, the best invention since sliced bread. (I'm not sure why they say that, because I really like fresh baked bread. If I bake bread, we will stand at the stove and eat it while it sits there cooling.
Check out my Arkansas Images blog. I just added some pictures of birds hanging out around my bird feeders.
I guess that's all for now.
