WINTER - SPRING - WINTER???

Well, we've been enjoying a warm and beautiful spring here in Arkansas. Everything has been greeing and flowering. The tulips have come and gone, as have the dogwoods. One dogwood has a few blooms hanging on for dear life. The creeping phlox is doing well, the hostas are getting bigger, and we have a few itty bitty peaches showing up on our new peach trees. We have set out tomato plants and onions in the garden, and a few sprigs of cucumbers are popping up, but the corn is being slow (we may have to replant). Even Cleotis has been moved from the aquarium to the fish pond.

After all that progress and activity, here it is Easter weekend and the weatherman is calling for freezing weather the next three nights. So the tomato plants have assorted flower pots and buckets turned upside down over them, the hostas have dish towels and old pillow cases over them. I guess everything else will have to fend for itself.
