60th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Mom & Dad celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this month. They were married January 5, 1946 in the pastor's study at the Goddard Methodist Church in Fort Smith. Mother spent a lot of time picking out what to wear. She finally bought the perfect suit. Then she was so excited at her wedding that she forgot to take off her coat. Attending the wedding were Daddy's aunt and her husband, and Mama's sister and her husband.

We celebrated their 60th at their home with their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in attendance. They knew we were coming, but we did surprise them with the tiered cake and celebration atmosphere.

60 years deserves a celebration.
